Natural Disasters and the Japanese People

"Natural Disasters and the Japanese People" provides online study material for advanced-level students of Japanese. The readings collected in this site are chosen from essays, speeches, blogs, and twitters written about the Tohoku earthquake, which hit Japan on March 11, 2011.


In spring 2009, Jing Wang launched NGO 2.0, a social media literacy project for Chinese grassroots NGOs. The project is building cross-sector collaboration with foundations, universities, NGOs, the media sector, IT companies, the Corporate Social Responsibility sector, software developers’ communities and interface designers in China. Ford Foundation awarded Professor Wang an eight-year grant to develop NGO2.0.
