Hee-Jeong Jeong received a Ph.D. in Korean linguistics at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. She has been teaching all levels of Korean language from beginning to highly advanced levels and also from undergraduate to graduate courses. Her research interests are Korean syntax, pedagogy, and assessment. Before joining MIT, she taught at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Harvard, and Rice University. She also works with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and Language Testing International (LTI) as a certified Oral Proficiency Interview Tester, Writing Proficiency Test Rater, Foreign Language Assessment Developer, and Assessment Reviewer.
