She received her MA in Applied Linguistics from UMass Boston in 2015. Before joining MIT she taught Russian language courses at Northeastern University. Her research interests lie primarily in applied linguistics and second language acquisition. She enjoys interacting with her students in various activities outside the traditional classroom to broaden their language and culture experience, and organizing Russian tea parties, movie nights and visits to local Russian restaurants and supermarkets.
